I start new series of photographs that are the continuation of 2012 «Racing Apocalypto» Project (you can see it here http://rawcar.com/2012_apocalypto/2012apocalypto.htm). So, «Black Track» is presenting …
Some photos from Rally Talsi 2014 — stage of North european Rally Championship. Also participators of Youngtimer class.
Rawcar.com has participated in Rally Talsi 2014 as co-pilot in Youngtimer Classification. This was the first time and it was very real. Here some photos of our racing bolide VAZ-2103 / Lada-1500 of 1975, more photos coming.
Rally Talsi is the stage of North European Rally Championship and the 3rd stage of Latvian Championship.
Photos of WRC Evolutions, Fiestas, youngtimers and more — everything will come, but from the inside of our car 🙂 Continue Reading
The Blue Flame was the rocket-powered vehicle driven by Gary Gabelich that achieved the world land speed record onBonneville Salt Flats in Utah on October 23, 1970. The mile record stood until 1983, when it was broken by Richard Noble’s Thrust2, but the faster kilometre record stood for 27 years until ThrustSSC went supersonic in 1997.
It’s really awesome, that Gumball has visited Baltic countries, and so, here they are, in the center of Riga. But sadly to say that one Ferrari is totally crashed on the way from Tallinn to Riga. One more Lambo was wrecked near Copenhagen.
As we all know, everything in our life evolves along the spiral — everything gets twisted, rotated, transforms onto another level, however, all the events get repeated, people get back and it happens in the same places.
The given photostream is the direct evidence hereto. Everything started few days ago, when i found the old picture of GAZ-21 «Volga» and MI-6 helicopter on the web, and realised that i have something similar in my archive. It turned out to be just the first of tens of pictures, almost identical to the oldies.
I just would like to add that none of pictures were made intentionally to resemble the old ones found on the web. And the special thanks goes to racinghistory.lv for the huge historical photomaterial from the Bikernieki track. The other old pictures are from my own archive and web space.
Some pictures from Motor-Museum in Riga before reconstruction in April 2013 begins.
The Moskvitch 410 is a car which was made by Soviet manufacturer MZMA from 1957. The 410 was conceived as a four wheel drive version of the Moskvitch 402. And it was the first 4×4 sedan. More photos added.
Everyone knows that 300SL is an epic car. I have found one awesome picture, it’s probably the first and only 300SL in Soviet Union. It has yellow number plates, which lets us make a clue that the photo is dated middle/end of the 50ies. It’s hard to say, how this vehicle overcame the iron curtain, but the fact is in front of us.
Another interesting fact is that now in the world there are more of these cars than were produced – the extra cars were assembled from spare parts.
Below some pics of this car.
